HAVE A DREAM, SET A GOAL
“Write the vision and make it plain upon table, that he may run that readeth it; for the vision is yet but for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: thought it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry” Hab. 2:2-3.

Without dreams, plans and goals, you place limits on what God can do for you. Of all the factors that affect our lives, none has as much potential power for doing well and actualizing the best results as our ability to dream. Dreams are a projection to the life we wish to lead. Therefore, when we allow them pull us, our dreams unleash a creative force that can overpower all obstacles hindering the attainment of our objectives. You can either face the future with apprehension or with anticipation. Some people face the future with apprehension- They keep worrying. They are not confident of themselves, afraid of tomorrow because they are not prepared for it. The others face the future with anticipation having planned their future and are excited, expecting the fulfillment. They can see thee future in their mind’s eye. The future captivates their imagination and exerts an enormous pull on them to succeed. ‘’ Where there is no vision, the people perish’’ Prov.29: 18.
If you want success in any area of your life; you have to have a dream and plans to reach that dream. It is easier to make plans when you know who you are, where you are and where you are going. You have to define your dream, possibly write them down and then make plans to actualize the dream. For your dream to come true it must be with a right motive and in accordance to God’s word and God’s will for you. And so ye need God to guide you.
If you can not develop a dream for your future, you then cannot plan for the future which certainly means you have no goal in life. It is often said ‘’ If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail’’. If you have got a dream, then keep your eyes on the dream. Feed the vision. That is, set things in motion to actualize the dream. Your dream must burn in your heart to realize it. Dream are only dream until you really believe in them and have the tenacity to hope, plan and take action to reach a goal. Keep focused on your dream if you are convinced about it. Don’t be sidetracked neither should you allow other people destroy your dream. Don’t share your dream with those who cannot help your dream come true. Every dream has a vision and this propels him into action.
When you have got a dream, turn it into a vision by beginning to see it happen and a reality. Avoid fear and doubt. Make a set of plan to realize the dream. Then turn your dream, your vision into a goal by swinging into action a goal is a dream in action, with a purpose. You must be convinced by your effort and your faith that you can achieve your goal. Wisdom has to be applied. You have to know what to do and how to do it. God will never give you a dream without giving you the requisite ability and qualification to accomplish that that dreams. If you can’t dream, then there would be no vision and you can’t plan for the failure. If you have no plan for the future, then you ultimately have no goal in life. Where there is no goal, there is no purpose and there will be then no success.
