It is a pity that people should let themselves to be defeated by the problems, cares, and difficulties of human existence which ought not to be so. Many people have become miserable, disappointed, confused and dejected as a result of this popular malady called inferiority complex. Lack of belief in one’s ability i.e. lack of self confidence has kept so many people in mediocrity. This transcends into fear of failure and ultimately a defeatist

The power to succeed lies within you. It is your belief that you can make it that will propel and motivate you to act and move ahead. Faith in oneself is the foundation for breakthrough. Determination is a function of faith. Faith can pull down the highest mountain. Nothing is impossible to him that believes he can make it backed up by God. No wonder Apostle Paul affirmed ‘’I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me’’ Phil. 4:13. Feelings of confidence depend upon the type of thoughts that habitually occupy your mind. Think defeat and you are bound to be defeated. But practice thinking confident thoughts, make it a dominating habit and you will develop such a strong sense of capacity that regardless of what difficulties arises, you will be able to overcome them. Feelings of confidence actually induce increased strength. Build up your self confidence. If you make a list of all the forces against you and constantly think of them, they will build themselves up into a formidable strength which they actually do not possess. But on the contrary, if you c consider your victories and those factors on your favour, mentally visualize, affirm, reaffirm them and emphasizing your victory, you will discover you will rise up out of any difficulty, regardless of what it may be.

Your inner power will reassert themselves and with the help of God, lift you from defeat to victory. Develop the habit of positive confession. What you confess is what you possess. Believe you can succeed. Obliterate the word ‘’impossible’’ from your mental system. Even when you can see a wall of hindrance solidly standing on your way from a distance, believe it will collapse to pave way for you before you get there. Stop seeing or visualizing hindrances but rather start seeing victories. When disappointments happen, start over again. God has millions o0f ideas and every one of them is for your taking. If God has helped you to start one business, He can help you to start a second or even a third business, Wealth is all around you; and with the ability God has placed within you, you can take a raw material here and there and put them together to bring forth something prosperous to you and helpful to mankind. ‘’ For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he’’ Prov. 23:7.
